This is the first Metamorphic Mindphase recording from the mid 1990’s that never found the light of day until now. I was looking for a side project distinct from Voice of Eye to issue various sound experiments in warped audio that were difficult listening and free of musical concept. The result was to be more challenging and hopefully interesting for the listener. Document primarily represents two aspects of sound manipulation: found sound analogue deconstruction and reconstruction through digital manipulation, in addition to creating dense collages where multiple textures are recklessly layered long before I had a DAW.

Some of the sources tell the story of what awaits: tortured tape recorder and cassette tapes, unidentified answering machine message, radio, circuit bent amp experiments from the 80’s, 176 marching bands, abused sampler, ghost gamelon, and two guitar tracks that begin and end the recording.

It's one big experiment.
